Key-Locking Inserts

Key-locking inserts fasten into threaded holes and provide new female threads for fasteners to engage with. The insert screws into the mounting surface then the integrated keys are driven into place with an installation tool and a hammer. This wedges the keys into place and prevents the insert from rotating and backing out unintentionally. They are commonly used to repair damaged or weak threads and provide thread reinforcement.
