Gasket Sealants & Adhesives

Gasket sealants and adhesives reinforce the seal of an existing gasket and secure it in place during assembly. Gasket sealants, also called gasket dressings, help prevent fluids and gases from leaking through the existing gasket at flanged joints, often as a result of pressure or movement. Gasket adhesives bond an existing material gasket to the surface to keep it in place when joining components. While gasket adhesives typically do not have sealing properties, they are useful in vertical or overhead applications to prevent material gaskets from moving during assembly.
