Fluorescent wraparound lights have a lens that extends up the sides of the fixture to spread light over a wider area than recessed troffers and panels. Also called wraps, these linear surface-mount fixtures uniformly disperse large amounts of light for general lighting in offices, retail spaces, and healthcare settings. They are typically installed on drywall ceilings. They use linear light bulbs in a size that matches the fixture and with a base type that matches the fixture ballast. Bulbs can be selected to get the desired lighting tone (colour temperature) and brightness (lumens). The fixtures accept fluorescent bulbs and some types of LED bulbs. Type A plug-and-play LED bulbs may be a direct fit (always verify bulb compatibility with the ballast). Type B direct wire and Type C separate driver LED bulbs may require wiring assistance from a licensed electrician.
