Also known as Type 3 flat webbing slings, their sewn eyes connect with lifting and rigging hardware like hooks, hoist rings, links, and shackles. Flat-eye web slings can be set up as vertical, basket, and choker hitches. Web slings have labels with information regarding their rated capacities set by their manufacturer that should be carefully reviewed before use. The rated capacity of a sling should always exceed the weight of the load. Note: These web slings should never be used to lift people.
