Dial Comparator Gauges

Dial comparator gauges have an arched dial that’s marked with measuring graduations. Dial comparator gauges are used for tolerance control or as a precision contactor in automatic control systems. They consist of a plunger-style indicator contact and a dial gauge with an arched rather than circular face intended to magnify very small fluctuations and variations. They are also used in conjunction with some dial bore gauges or compatible bench micrometers for highly precise readings over a short measuring range.
