They are powered through compressed air and provide true vertical lift in operations that require precision with no lateral movement. Chain hoists raise and lower loads in applications where materials or equipment are lifted repetitively like warehouses, machine shops, fabricating plants, assembly facilities, and auto mechanic shops. Chains pull through sprockets that turn gear systems to lift and lower loads. They withstand high temperatures and abrasive loads: however, they can mar and damage sensitive loads.
